There is always something going on in our community! If there is something you think we should highlight please send us an email!
Let's take a look at what's going on in the neighborhood!
There is 'no good time to have a meeting' and it's impossible to pick a perfect time for everyone. So last year we started recording the meetings for those would couldn't attend, could have an opportunity to watch. Recently, it's been suggested to incorporate a Zoom meeting so others could ask questions in real time. That got curious to see how many people would attended a CSA Zoom meeting. If there are residents would would like to see that introduced to our meetings, please let us know!
Sav-R-Cats is a local non-kill, cat shelter. One of our neighbors, Ursula Wiltsie, is a volunteer there. She also helps to take care of the stray cats here in Island Green. Sav-R-Cats International, Inc. was founded in 2002 as a non-profit organization whose primary goal is to ensure the protection, safeguarding and humane treatment of cats. To accomplish that goal, they depend entirely on the contributions of cat lovers and caring individuals and groups. The shelter incorporates a variety of ways to support their cause. They accept monetary donations, supplies, goods, recyclable items, and they sell Entertainment Books. The Grandstrand Entertainment book is published annually with over $7,000 in savings for local businesses. At the cost of $25, you'll make your money back in two purchases! These are a must for every household and are great as gifts! These are available for sale at the shelter, or contact Ursula for delivery!
Sav-R-Cats is looking a variety of donates they use to support the shelter. If you have any of these items, you can bring them to the Monthly Island Green CSA Meeting, or text Ursula for a pick up!
